Whipped Tallow Balm

This indulgent, whipped tallow tallow balm is extremely versatile and more than just a body butter. It's great for softening dry skin, especially areas like elbows, knees, and heels - and can be used head-to-toe - it's gentle enough for your face, can be used as a deep conditioning hair treatment, and even works great as a diaper balm. Once absorbed it leaves your skin feeling nourished and silky soft. It's safe for all skin types and ideal for those with sensitive skin or skin issues who need to avoid unnecessary ingredients.

I 'whip' my tallow with a paddle - not with a whisk - to avoid excess air being whipped into the final product (this means you will not receive a jar half full of air like so many other whipped balms!) Using a paddle helps create a smooth, buttery constancy.

Available in 2, 4, or an 8oz amber glass jar, either unscented or with added organic essential oils. Read below for notes regarding available scents. I only use organic, steam distilled therapeutic grade essential oils below the recommended skin-safe percentages.

Directions for use:

• Apply to your skin whenever needed. Makes an indulgent body balm when applied to damp skin (such as after a bath or shower) to lock in moisture.
• If using as a diaper balm, apply to baby's clean skin in between diaper changes.
• If using as a hair conditioning treatment, apply to dry hair for an hour (or even overnight) and then shampoo thoroughly.

Scents available:

• Vanilla: has a light & sweet vanilla scent, made with organic vanilla oleorisn. Every person who enjoys classic vanilla scents have told me this smells amazing. It is a best-seller!
• Vanilla Sandalwood: a sweet, warm, woody scent made with organic vanilla oleoresin & organic sandalwood essential oil.
• Lavender: a tranquil, classic lavender that isn’t overwhelming – organic lavender essential oil.
• Floral: smells like walking through a floral garden – a blend of organic rose, jasmine, and ylang ylang essential oils.
• Patchouli: the rich, earthy, musky, and slightly sweet fragrance you would expect – made with organic patchouli essential oil.
• Cedar & Bergamot: a perfect balance between fresh citrus and rich woody scents – a blend of organic bergamot, cedarwood, pine, lemon, and juniper essential oils.
• Cedar & Cardamom: I’m obsessed with this sweet & spicy scent! – it has a blend of organic cedarwood, cardamom, vanilla oleoresin, cinnamon, and patchouli essential oils.
